If you have a stunning view, give your landscape a starring role with large windows. They needn't be the same size or even match, especially if you're going for a casual look. Here, double-hung corner windows allow cross-ventilation and offer different vantage points. They also bright up dark crannies, reducing the need for artificial light. Of course, a kitchen window is a welcome luxury for anyone stuck doing dishes.
This unique, raised kitchen makes up for in character what it lacks in space; a custom-built table takes into account the uneven surface and the appliances are top of the line.
Polished black granite countertops get a funky twist with the addition of pop-y floral files behind the sink.
Built-in shelves hold cookbooks and create a cozy, welcoming presence in this gorgeous country kitchen.
A minimalist's dream, this kitchen keeps the clutter out of sight and instead derives its beauty from the stark simplicity of white.
Warm-hued wood and butter yellow walls bring warmth and light to this updated kitchen.

Great ideas when you are stuck for space. I just would not buy a house that did not have space for a large kitchen. We spend most of our time in the kitchen whether cooking, eating, snacking etc. thanks Ian
