Fall Wreaths

by fh_rachael on SEPTEMBER 13, 2011

There’s something about fall that makes me want to put a wreath on my door. Not the evergreen kind—that will come soon enough. But something that celebrates the bounty and beauty of the season. And while the following finds are easy enough to buy, they also inspire me to DIY my own.

thechickadeeshop’s Fall Wreath at Etsy, $120

I love the traditional sage- and copper-colored ribbon in this creation, but it’s the unexpected jolt of turquoise that makes it extra special.

Williams-Sonoma’s Preserved Sunflower Wreath, $80

A beautiful transition wreath. Bright as the summer sun, but it reminds me of the bouquets I would find at an end-of-season farmers market.

Oregon Wreath's Autumn Mix, $79 (they will open later this fall)

Who needs flowers when foliage can be this fabulous!?

MadLucyPaper’s Fall Wreath, $46

And fabric flowers? Brilliant. Even I can’t kill this wreath.

Smith & Hawken’s Faux Rosewood Wreath, $40

I love the monochromatic look of this beaut. Sophisticated and romantic.

Plow & Heath’s 22-in. diameter Artichoke, Pomegranate and Wheat Wreath, $90

This one is for the traditionalists out there. This wreath has all of your favorite things—fall foliage, wheat—but the natural artichokes and pomegranates add a refreshing twist.

Speaking of wreaths, give our living herb wreath a try next growing season!

My front door: it’s where I pay decorating homage to fall. Now what about you?

Since I don't have a front door, I just swap all my annuals for mums. Instant fall!
