I’m so obsessed with this Christmas tree ornament mobiles Megan made on her blog, not martha. She hung jewelry monofilament from a cooling rack, which she attached to the ceiling. The ornaments are hung on regular ornament hooks attached to the jewelry monofilament secured with crimp beads. She promises it’s not as hard to do as it looks or sounds!
Isn’t that amazing? No matter if it’s tricky to make or not, the final Christmas tree ornament mobile is definitely worth the work. For the full how-to, materials list and more pictures, check out not martha.
I’m curious: Have you put up a non-traditional Christmas tree this year?

Yes, I did!!! It's a black tree that stands up to my waist. I call it my little baby christmas tree hahaha the only nontraditional thing about it is that it's black. I still love it though.

I'm a HUGE lover of the nontraditional tree! My husband grew up in a house hold without a tree so he's given me free reign to start our own nonconformest traditions. Gotta love a man with a creative edge! Check out what we've done in the past http://everafterblueprint.wordpress.com/2010/12/01/captivating-the-season-our-tree/
