I smiled when I saw Fresh Home reader Tracie‘s email about her favorite piece of art, which she made for a whopping $2. A clever 3-D piece for so little money: We love that!
Traci found this wooden frame at a garage sale for $2 and had a vase of sticks from a previous Goodwill trip:
First, she spray-painted the sticks black, then primed and spray-painted the frame Krylon’s Brushed Metallic Spray Paint in Satin Nickel:
After the branches and frame dried, Traci laid out the branches vertically behind the frame so they were evenly spaced and clipped the ends …
… and staple-gunned the branches to the back of the frame:
When she flipped it over, voila!
She says it looks great at night with flameless candles behind it. Great job, Tracie! (See more of her creative ideas on cleverlyinspired.)

Wow - you really are soooo clever & inspiring - I especially like your ‘twig frame' & already have all I need to make my own... I just found your website today but I'll definitely be back & though I feel stupid asking - what is ‘etsy'? Thanks so much & keep inspiring

There are no stupid questions Etsy is one of the best online marketplaces, featuring only shops with handmade products. Check it out at http://www.etsy.com. Anyone can put a shop up and sell their handmade wares. You can find spectacular gifts and home decor/accessories. I'm addicted!
