Step 1: Gather Snippets of Ribbon

Either snip your own lengths of ribbon, or use the small leftover pieces leftover on your spools. Velvet, satin, grosgrain or even just plain curling ribbon work well. The length of ribbon depends on the size of your ornaments.

Step 2: Stuff Ribbon Inside Ornaments

Remove the top of your clear ball ornaments from the craft store. Stuff your ribbon snippets inside. The pretty swirls of other ribbon appear as though they’re suspended in air, creating a delightful effect. If you like, combine different colors/prints, or add other embellishments.

Step 3: Display Your Ornaments

Hang your ornaments on the tree or on garland. Or, gather them together and use on the tabletop, like we did on this ornament centerpiece project »
