Step 1: Mark Center of Paper

Turn your 12-inch square paper wrong side up and mark the center of the bottom edge (this is where cone’s bottom point will be).

TIP

Need to reinforce a cone to hold heavier items? Make another same-size cone to slip inside, then trim the top edge of the inside cone so it’s not visible above the outside one.

Step 2: Roll Paper

Starting with the corner to the left of the mark, roll the paper into a cone—keeping the point at the marked spot—and tape the paper to secure it.

TIP

For smaller cones, simply buy the 8-inch squares of paper sold with other scrapbook papers ... or cut any piece of paper into a square of whatever size you'd like.
