Step 1: Mount "L" Brackets

Mount "L" brackets on your wall where you want your shelves to be.

Step 2: Place Books

Place your books on top of the "L" brackets.

TIP

We covered each of our books (we used old encyclopedias) in contact paper so they look uniform.

Step 3: Attach Books

Drill pilot holes through your books, then screw screws through the brackets into the base of the book.

Step 4: Attach Books to Wall

To ensure the book is sturdy, open up the top cover of each book and use a screw gun to screw diagonally, in three evenly spaces spots, through the mass of pages and into the wall. (This is known as toe-nailing.)

Step 5: Glue Down Book's Cover

Glue the top cover down to help increase the firm placement of the book.
