Produced by Todd Moore

Step 1: Choose Your Book

Choose a favorite book—it'salways nice to choose a book that has a colorful cover.

TIP

This is a great project to do with your kids: Take a few of their books and make them into clocks and arrange on a wall in a cluster.

Step 2: Drill a Hole Into Your Book

Find the center of the book and drill a hole. It should be as thick as your clock parts' post. (We took our clock parts from an old, cheap clock.)

TIP

Your clock hands might not be long enough for your book, depending on its thickness. Play around with the clock hands and books until you find a perfect match.

Step 3: Insert Your Clock Parts

Stick the post through the book. It should slide into place with the battery box on the other side.

Step 4: Glue Battery Box

Glue the battery box to the back of the book.
