Step 1: Find Cheap Cotton Rugs

Find rugs with colors and sizes perfectly suited to your space (we used a pair of 34- by 24-inch rugs).

Step 2: Stitch Together Rugs

Align rug edges, then stitch them together using a tapestry needle and matching carpet thread or embroidery floss. Start and end stitching on the back side to keep the top looking neat.
