Gather books of roughly the same size with pretty linen covers (look under the jacket) in a palette you like.
With a 3/4-in. bit, drill three holes just deep enough to accommodate half a plastic tube.
Secure books together with strong glue.
Insert test tubes, fill halfway with water, and add single blooms.
